LOVE THIS WEDDING.
I've known + photographed Nichol + her family since like, 2011 or something. The Shubins are my second family + I've watched Nichol grow from a quirky teen just trying to figure life out to the gorgeous, grounded lady she is today. I've photographed her senior portraits, her performance as Gabrielle in High School Musical, a bunch of random shoots featuring her guitar or our latest thrift store scores, so many pictures of her + Devin as they dated, eventually their engagement portraits + now their nuptials.
It's a glorious privilege to photograph such a special day for a group of people you love so dearly. Nichol was too sweet to include me in the bridesmaids gifts + a few of the getting ready portraits, which really was a theme through the entire process of planning her wedding with Devin. Very few vendors were brought in, rather the couple looked to family + friends to source as much as they needed as possible...Nichol's gown was handmade by her dear friend, Travis of Dahlia Designs. Her dad built much of the vignettes for the reception decor, she + her mom spent months stockpiling the colored glass goblets, another family friend took care of the wedding cake + yours truly handled the photography and floral design. Devin + Nichol's pastor officiated the ceremony while my own stud-muffin husband guided them through their first time as husband + wife taking communion. The DJ was from the family. A friend grew tons of hops for the tables capes. On + on it goes. It was a labor of love that gives tribute to how much Devin + Nichol are adored + how much joy we all took in their marriage!
Hope you enjoy these as much as I do! <3
